Skin Truth Skin Restore Cleanser: Our New Creamy Cleanser Explained

Hi, Dr Murray from Skin Truth, and today we're talking about our new skin cleanser.

Now, I'll be honest, I'm a bit funny about this. I don't mind a very coarse, deep cleaning type of cleanser myself, I actually quite like it. That's why we brought out our gritty exfoliating scrub for face and body in the Skin Truth range. It's properly gritty, and it really gets in and cleans your face.

But of course, there are a lot of people who don't like that heavy, coarse cleanser on their face. They want that creamy, buttery feel instead. So that's exactly why we've brought out the Skin Restore Cleanser.

Why Did Skin Truth Bring Out Another Cleanser?

We brought out Skin Restore Cleanser because not everyone wants the same kind of clean. Some people love a gritty, deep-cleaning scrub. Others want something creamy and gentle that still does its job properly. Skin Restore Cleanser was made to fill that gap in the Skin Truth range, giving people a softer option without giving up on results.

What Makes Skin Restore Different From Other Creamy Cleansers?

Skin Restore Cleanser is made to be affordable without cutting corners on quality. I often get a shock when I see how expensive some of the creamy, buttery cleansers from other brands are. They shouldn't cost that much for what they are. We've made the Skin Restore Cleanser a genuine quality product, but kept it at a fair price.

It's got that nice creamy feel people want on their face. But feeling nice on your skin isn't the same as doing something for your skin, and that's one of the big traps in the skincare industry. There are plenty of products out there that feel lovely and don't actually do anything. The Skin Restore Cleanser isn't one of them.

What's Actually In Skin Restore?

The Skin Restore Cleanser contains AHAs to help clean out your pores properly, reducing blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. It's designed to give your face a genuine cleanse, not just a nice-feeling wipe over.

How Does Skin Restore Fit Into a Skincare Routine?

The Skin Restore Cleanser is designed as your cleansing step, done before anything else goes on your skin. A proper cleanse clears the way so that your serums, actives and moisturisers can actually penetrate the skin instead of sitting on top of residue and oil. If your cleanser isn't doing its job, everything you layer on afterwards won’t work as well as it should.

Who Is Skin Restore Suited To?

The Skin Restore Cleanser is suited to anyone who prefers a gentler, creamier cleanse over a gritty scrub, particularly people with more sensitive skin or anyone who finds coarse exfoliating cleansers too harsh for daily use. If you like that deep, gritty clean instead, our exfoliating scrub for face and body is the better fit, and there's no reason you can't use both depending on the day. That’s not to say you can’t mix and match. You might like to alternate and use the Skin Truth NGA Elixir Scrub once or twice a week and the Skin Restore Cleanser on the remaining days.

As with any new skincare product, if you have particularly reactive or sensitive skin, it's worth patch testing first and easing in gradually rather than using it twice a day straight away.

FAQ

Is the Skin Restore Cleanser suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. The Skin Restore Cleanser was created specifically for people who find gritty, coarse cleansers too harsh and prefer a creamy, gentle feel instead.

Does the Skin Restore Cleanser actually clean the skin, or is it just a nice feeling cleanser?

It genuinely cleans. The Skin Restore Cleanser contains AHAs that work to clear pores and reduce blackheads, whiteheads and pimples, not just leave a pleasant feel on the surface.

Can I use the Skin Restore Cleanser and the exfoliating scrub together?

Yes. Many people use the creamier Skin Restore Cleanser on more sensitive days and the gritty scrub when they want a deeper clean, alternating between the two depending on how their skin feels.

Why is the Skin Restore Cleanser more affordable than similar creamy cleansers?

It's made to be a quality product at a fair price. Many creamy, buttery cleansers from other brands are priced far higher than the quality justifies.

Should I cleanse before applying serums and moisturisers?

Yes. A proper cleanse prepares the skin so other products can penetrate properly, rather than sitting on top of leftover oil, sunscreen or makeup.
